Reliving the Meenakshi Amma Experience of faith..

Saturday, 28 January 2012

No matter how badly life blew dust, some souls do not gather any.

Thank you My lord, you have kept me unaffected largely, though life at times have been unbearably gruesome.

My time at Lady of Ransom, has strengthened me always or else I would have been dust by now.

St. Sebastin's feast

The feast of St. Sebastin at our local church. The crowd cooperated very well to celebrate the feast of the patron saint who saves the faithful from poverty, war and sickness. The picture of a tableau made for greeting the procession of the feast.

New year 2012

On New year at Lady of Ransom, we had 12 service of mass in different language. It was a delightful experience indeed.
When I reached there around 11Am the Tamil was already on. The service started around 6.15Am.
Fr. Jose Pullickal, was the one who conceived the idea, and it turned out to be a spiritual feast.
Priests from different missionary outpost, who have learned the language of the state they are in came with a happy heart to offer the mass.
Probably by next year, the new church for the locals will be open for service.
The Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin mass was a music to our ears, though we did not understand the language, it was an opportunity for all of us to know the way the Jesus is remembered all around the world.
The church was full all through the day. The advertisement that came in popular Malayalam dailies was the only notice we got. Still, crowd flowed in.
It was a warm feeling to know, our Kochi has grown to accept new perceptions in devotion too.
As I walked back home, with a happy heart from the day well spent, the sun set over the Vypeen Island was a blessing to witness God's ultimate beauty in everything He created.
